The Future of Mobile Learning Presentation

1. Was the software user-friendly?
-Well, it is kind of user friendly. As long as the downloads were successful.

2. Did the software have extra useful features to enhance your presentation (or just minimal)?
-Not really. Because you had to download it from your powerpoint and when you have to edit something you had to go back and redo your powerpoint presentation.

3. Is the software specifically useful for teachers?
-It's just as similar to the powerpoint we use on our computers it's just that with slideshare you share with everyone else.
4. Would you recommend the software for other educators?
- I recommend it when we are using it for classes where you want the students to follow along with you to look at links. it is good to share with other teachers as well.
5. If you had a choice to use this software again for a presentation, would you use it?
-Yes! Most definately. Great to put up a slide of your pictures
6. What overall consensus rating would you give for this software 1- 10 (10 being the highest).
-I would say a 5 only because it gave me a hard time to edit and I had to reload the presentation. But I liked it!

Elluminate Live

1. Describe the experience with Elluminate Live.
I loved it! It was the first time that I have ever worked with a program like that. I loved it and I am most interested in doing it again. I learned a lot from it and you can share many things with other people.

2. What did you like? Dislike?
I liked, again, how we can all share information with eachother. It was very fun! I would like to use this in the classrooms. What I didn't like was that depending on the wireless signals in the area we can have good sound and communication. Without a good one, we tend to be cut off.

3. How would a distance-learning application like Elluminate benefit students?
They can learn about new things about other people and their communities. They can find out about what new cool things are going on in the mainland or anywhere else. You know how sometimes we are a little behind on technology and new things that come up, well, this way, we can keep in touch with others who can give us useful information.

4. What are some ideas that you learned from Bree?
I learned about some new cool sites that I can go on to teach my students. There were some I have never heard off. I am going to try it out for sure.

5. What will you take with you to explore in more depth? Why?
I will take into consideration that technology is in and a lot of the new generations are into it. So what better way to keep our students learning than to incorporate these cool ways they can learn through technology of the outside world. I will look more into what new ways to work with them to help them succeed through the ever changing world!

Picture trail presentation

1. Was the software user-friendly?
Yes it was. It was easy to use.

2. Did the software have extra useful features to enhance your presentation (or just minimal)?
There were a lot to choose from. You can change the way your slide show would appear. It was fun and very unique. You can add a lot of features to one picture or change it around when you like.

3. Is the software specifically useful for teachers?
I believe it is because they can control what kinds of pictures to put and what text to write in.

4. Would you recommend the software to other educators?
Most definately. It was so cool and the effects were awesome.

5. If you had a choice to use this software again for a presentation, would you use it?
Oh yes, most definately.

6. What overall consensus rating would you give for this software 1-10 (10 being the highest).
I would definately give it a 10!

Zunal Webquest Project

Link: www.zunal.com/webquest.php?w=52756

1. Describe your assignment.
WE had to go to zunal.com and just create a task and follow directions on how to do so.
2. What did you like/dislike about the web quest project? & Why?
I liked how we can create an activity where students can go online and do work. I liked how we can add links and do activities online.
3. What were some of the challenges you faced?
Sometimes the links we were trying to add did not work but other than that, as long as we follow directions it's alright.
4. If you had to do it over, what would you do differently?
I would just change the task. That's it.
5. How do you think your will like using a webquest? Why?
They will love it because I think it is easy to follow. Now a days, the younger genenration love using technology. They will most definately have fun with this one.

Photo editing assignment

1. Go through most (if not all) features of software.
I would say I liked the photobucket, fotoflexer, and lunapic sites. They were fun and very cool.

2. What were + and - of software?
The only downfall was paying for more features. It would be nice if it was free.

3. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate it?/Why?

The three sites I would say are a 10 for me. They were pretty cool.

Creating flickr badge

Today in class we created our own flikr badge. It was kind of complicated but it was my first time to work on it so it took time. With a lot more practice we would be pros. It was intersting and fun and it was really cool how the finished product looked.
I would use it as a lesson if we were doing something like an personal autobigraphy online with out students. They could keep pitcures of family, friends, and special events that happened in their lives and then they could share it with their peers.

ED480 Zoho activities

1. Explain the assignment.
The assignment we did was on zoho sheet. This program was similar to the Microsoft Excel. We had to create something that is school related and we chose to do a students grade book. We put the names of our classmates and added grades for just an example.

2. How easy or difficult was the project you worked on?
It was alright, I would say it was easy just typing in what you wanted but we had problems formulating numbers the way microsoft excel does. That was the only challenge. So we just added in what we wanted on e by one.

3. How do you think your students would benefit from your project?
Well, if they students were to use it they can use it to make a list of things, let's take for example, put a list of groceries and then put their prices and add them up. That is one way they could use it.

4. Rate the software zoho on a scale of 1-10 and why?
I would say for now I rate it a 5 because I only know part of zoho and I need more time to go over it again. So, far it's okay and maybe when I go into depth with it the rating will go higher.

1. The learning outcome was for students to be able to learn mapping by putting things in order from highest rank to the lowest.

2. The most important lesson was teaching them how to do sequencing using mind mapping.

3. I like it, it was fun. The only thing was it is new to me so it was hard to find things.

4. I would probably make it better looking and learn the keys to make things more appropriate.

5. I would use mind mapping to teach students to do the food web. Learn the food group.

My first day in ED480

Today, when we came in, we had an ice breaker. When that was done, we went over the syllabus. After the syllabus, we started our activities for the evening.
